1	Interim associate dean, department heads begin work this fall at University of Northern Iowa	Linda Quinn is interim associate dean in College of Education. Mir Zaman, Bill Callahan, Richard Colburn, and John Vallentine acting department heads. David Towle director Counseling Center and Peggy Ishler interim director of teacher education.
2	The Inter-American Studies Committee will present the Canadian Film Series at the University of Northern Iowa	Three films will be presented from October through December and are open to the public.
3	University of Northern Iowa Wellness Recreation Center will sponsor "Car-Free Day" on Thursday, Oct. 8	"Car-Free Day" activities include bike tune-ups and bicycle registration. Day is part of "Sole Power" project.
