1 Trick-or-Treating in UNI Residence Halls, Oct. 31 Eight halls will be open to community Trick-or-treaters.Residence hall trick-or-treating is sponsored by ProBoard, the student organization of the Residence Hall Programming Board that represents ten residence halls.
2 UNI emeritus professor, Mary Franken, receives national outstanding achievement award Was honored with the prestigious Florence Faligatter Alumni Award for outstanding achievement in family and consumer science. The award presented during the society's 100 Anniversary Conclave in Minneapolis, also recognized her as a 50-year member.
3 UNI's Hylton receives Iowa Science Teachers 'Friend of Science' recognition Latricia Hylton, math coordinator and former director for the Upward Bound Math and Science Center received the award which recognizes an individual or group who has made significant contributions to the Iowa Science Teachers Section.
4 Victories continue for the UNI Forensics Team The Debate Team continued its season by traveling to Kansas City, Kansas Community College's Blue Devil Debate Tournament Oct. 10-12. The Debate Team is coached by Kelsey Harr and Catherine Palczewski.
