1	UNI Gallery of Art to present 'Another Voice: Political Illustration from the Late Twentieth Century (1981 - 1999)' Taylor--Darrell R. (Art Gallery Director)	Patrick JB Flynn, former graphic designer at The New York Times and art director at the independent not-for-profit magazine The Progressive, curates the exhibition. It will feature 50 artists and more than 150 works of art.
2	UNI receives $40,000 grant from State Farm Foundation for computer science	The grant will support curriculum development and student-centered research in desktop parallel computation using multi-core processors. "State Farm believes in building better educated communities," said State Farm Iowa Vice President Terry Barton.
3	UNI Rod Library announces 'Student of the Month'	Ashley Fecht, a junior from Lost Nation, is the "Student of the Month," for January; began working in the Collection Management Department in May 2008; responsible for training and answering questions for recently hired students in her area;
4	UNI School of Music student Kate Crist succeeds at Metropolitan Opera Auditions	Kate Crist, from Agency, has taken first place in the Upper Midwest Regional Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions held in Minneapolis, Minn. Her first prize aaward includes an all expense paid trip to the national semifinals in New York.
