1 O'Brien to speak on forensic anthropology at University Museum Tyler O'Brien will present "Death, Decay and Reconstruction: The Forensic Anthropology of Human Skeletons. He will bring to life the topic of skeletal recovery and identification while discussing and sharing details and photos of specific cases.
2 Tallgrass Prairie Center to present lecture on challenges of land management and stewardship Joe McGovern, land stewardship program director at the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation (INHF), will address the challenges that come with managing land on a statewide level.
3 UNI Career Fair and Interview Day offers opportunities for students and alumni More than 90 employers will talk with students and alumni about internships and full-time jobs. Attendees are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume to give to company and organization representatives.
4 UNI School of Music hosts second lecture in Musically Speaking series "Patsy Cline and the 'Grain of the Voice," will be the topic of discussion in a new series of lectures on musicology, music theory and ethnomusicology. Melinda Boyd, assistant professor of music history and series coordinator, will host the talk.
5 UNI Students win regional business plan competition, advance to state Azh Hedrington, Jeniffer Betts, and Dante Means won the regional round of the Pappajohn New Venture Business Plan competition and will advance to the state round.
6 UNI to host first Panther Idol event A memorized piece will be heard from each contestant and audience members and judges will determine the finalists and winner for the final round to be held that evening. Those interested in forming their own band or jamming out on guitar can come.
