2 UNI Graduate College presents 2009 - 2010 faculty awards The Distinguished Scholar Award was presented to Roy Behrens, professor of art, and the Outstanding Graduate Faculty Teaching Award to Marybeth Stalp, associate professor in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology.
3 UNI graduate to intern with FESCO in China Kelly Murphy, daughter of Tim and Kathy Murphy of Waterloo, will spend six months interning at Foreign Enterprise Service Co., Ltd (FESCO) in the Dalian Development Zone in northeast China.
4 UNI Hearst Lecture on Islam postponed Ingrid Mattson, director and professor of the Macdonald Center for Study of Islam and Christian-Muslim Realtions and director of Islamic Chaplaincy at Hartford Seminary in Hartford, Conn. has postponed her lecture due to a medical emergency.
5 UNI MBA student wins Pappajohn business plan competition
Second UNI team receives honorable mention
Zach Hedrington, majoring in business administration, won $5,000 for first place for his business, 3Fueled L. L. C. Travis Lloyd Smith and Dante Means, received a $1,000 honorable mention for their business, Band of Christians L. L. C.
6 UNI to host Regional Physics Olympics Approximately 200 high school students from high schools in Iowa are expected to participate. Student teams will use basic physics principles to design and construct devices or setups from everyday materials within required specifications.
