1 UNI School of Music assistant professor placed on leave Given the nature of the suit, Bradley Barrett has been placed on paid leave effective immediately to allow further investigation on behalf of the university. The university will hold accountable those individuals who actions violate the law.
2 UNI Students receive Small Business Success awards Awards were announced to students who have demonstrated success in running small businesses. The award includes a $200 cash prize for each student entrepreneur. Students listed.
3 UNI warns of possible magazine scam A Waterloo woman reported that in March two men who claimed to be UNI students were selling magazines door-to-door and told her the university would reimburse her for part of the purchase. The university is not affiliated with these sales.
4 UNI's Holocaust and Genocide Education Program hosts new lecture series and Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony "The Holocaust and Contemporary Ethics: Legal, Religious, Political and Medical Ethical Implications of the Holocaust," will be the topic for the inaugural address for the Norman Cohn Family Holocaust Remembrance and Education Lecture Series.
5 University Book & Supply recognizes excellence in non-tenured faculty Five non-tenured faculty members will be honored this spring with the UBS Outstanding Teaching Award. The award, recognizes outstanding teaching skills and contributions to their profession by faculty who have not yet been tenured. Faculty members listed.
