1 Foreign language camp for elementary students offered at UNI The camp is intended for beginning language learners, the camp will meet daily at Price Laboratory School. Students will learn numbers, alphabet, greetings, common phrases, colors and more. They will sing, dance and perform skits, and more.
2 Iowa's county roadside managers to pick up $200,000 worth of native seeds at UNI May 5, 6 Representatives from 41 Iowa counties will pick up 20,000 pounds of native seeds from the Tallgrass Prairie Center. This is the 12th year the program has received this Transportation Enhancement Program funding from the Iowa Department of Transportation.
3 UNI to hold Jazz Combo Camp, June 21 - 26 High school campers will rehearse with their combo twice a day, receive instruction in instrumental master classes with a working professional jazz musician, and participate in ear training and transcription and guided listening.
4 UNI's Delta Sigma Theta chapter to host first Stroll-Off event In celebration of its four-year anniversary, the event will showcase different groups or individuals in presenting choreographed dance moves. The Tau Chi chapter will also host a free barbecue for attendees.
