1 GreenProject UNI sponsors 2009 Wind Generation Festival The purpose of the festival is to spread the excitement of the green movement at the College. "We want students to be the change, to know that their voices will be heard when it comes to bettering our campus."
2 UNI Continuing & Distance Education to offer driver education endorsement courses Teachers may earn the Driver Education (7-12) Endorsement by completing nine semester hours of credit that includes coursework in accident prevention, drug and alcohol abuse, vehicle safety and behind-the-wheel driving. Courses will by taught via ICN.
3 UNI Museums to host net making and monarch tagging workshop Learn how to tag a Monarch and make your own butterfly net at the Museum. Attendees will be invited inside the museum to learn more about butterflies with books, crafts and other hands-on activities. The workshop is open to people of all ages.
4 UNI professor has hope for kidnapping victims Katherine van Wormer is optimistic for kidnapping victim Jaycee Lee Dugard's recovery. What she experienced in captivity caused traumatic bonding, which is an attachment to a perpetrator of violence during a period of extreme stress combined with shame.
5 UNI professors travel for Fulbright-Hays grant Alex Oberle, assistant professor of geography, and curriculum specialist Kay Weller, associate professor of geography, traveled to Chile for a four-week professional development program earlier this summer. Professors listed.
