1 UNI alumna and award-winning illustrator to meet and greet public at Cedar Falls library In coordination with the African-American Read-In, Jan Spivey Gilchrist, children's book illustrator will meet and greet at the Cedar Falls Public Library. Copies of her books will be available for purchase from University Book and Supply.
2 UNI Interpreter's theatre to present "Reefer Madness" Based on the 1936 documentary "Tell Your Children," the film was originally used as a tool for educators and parents to warn their children of the harms of marijuana.
3 UNI participates in National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, Feb. 22 - 26 Research shows that in the U. S., as many as 10 million females and 1 million males are fighting a life and death battle with an eating disorder. A display on campus will allow people to step on a scale and view a positive affirmation instead of a number.
4 UNI's IWRC hosts workshop on new EPA rule for bulk gasoline plants The EPA has created a new national emission standard for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) for bulk gasoline plants in order to reduce the emission of hazardous pollutants into the environment.
