1 UNI ICHD receives grants to address food systems, access and health issues The projects addressing critical food-system issues are funded by a one-year $137,600 grant from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation of Battle Creek, Michigan, and a two-year competitive grant totaling $57,900 from the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture.
2 UNI students head south for Civil Rights Study Tour Thirty-one participants will take part in the Multicultural Education's tour, a five-day trip including visits to museums, memorials, and numerous hot spots from the Civil Rights Movement. Students will visit Montgomery, Selma, and Birmingham, Alabama.
3 UNI to hold summer biotechnology camp for high school students Students interested in crime-scene investigation can take part in a camp this summer with hands-on experience. "Students will isolate their own DNA from their cheek cells," said Kavita Dhanwada, associate professor of biology and camp director.
