1 Eight UNI students put worms to work UNI's Recycling & Reuse Technology Transfer Center (RRTTC) provided each student with a vermicompost kit, which included a 10-gallon bin drilled with holes and filled with "brown waste" and 10 dozen worms, called Red Wigglers.
2 UNI announces 2010 Lux Service Award recipients The Lux Service Award is the most prestigious award given to three undergraduate students each academic year to acknowledge their service to UNI. Recipients are: Amy Costliow, Ebony Jackson, and Jessica Staudt.
3 UNI College of Education Awards Celebration recognizes faculty with awards Faculty awarded: Leigh Zeitz, Deborah Tidwell, Audrey Rule, and Leigh Martin. William P. Callahan, dean of the College of Education, presented the Dean's Award for Multicultural Initiatives in Teaching to Kim Knesting.
4 UNI College of Education dean search announces fourth candidate Dwight Watson is the associate dean of the teacher education program, chair of the Department of Education Studies and professor in the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
5 University Book & Supply recognizes excellence in non-tenured faculty The award recognizes outstanding teaching skills and contributions to their professions by faculty members who have not yet been awarded tenure. It includes a $1,000 cash gift and is administered through the UNI Foundation. Faculty members listed.
