1 'I AM Retreat' seeks to empower females. The retreat will 45 East and West High School females the opportunity to tap into their creativity by participating in art and personal development workshops.
2 Buy fresh, but local looks to spread local bounty with new members. Membership includes the use of marketing tools to help local food growers and processors sell to local consumers, restaurants, grocery stores and institutions.
3 Campus diversity hub celebrates 40 years. A 40th anniversary open-house reception for the Center for Multicultural Education will be held in Maucker Union. Julie Dash will speak on her recent works as part of the Hearst Lecture Series.
4 Project aims to enhance safety and sobriety for women. The Integrative Services Project helps develop collaborative relationships between victim services and substance abuse centers.
5 UNI to show 'Fresh' as part of new Sustainability Film Series. "Fresh" focuses on how the food industry has been transformed into an industrial model, that if not carefully regulated can increase the likelihood of food contamination and environmental pollution.
