1 CME to host speaker in recognition of Women's History Month. Susan Douglas, prize winning author will speak. Her lecture will focus on her analysis of the mixed messages surrounding women and the struggle between embedded feminism and enlightened sexism.
2 Iowa Business Plan Competition open to submissions March 1. New and start up businesses are eligible to enter the competition for the chance to win up to $25,000. The competition is designed to stimulate business development and provide support for outstanding business plans.
3 UNI offers tips to keep students safe on spring break. Department of Public Safety advises traveling students to notify a family member, check fluid levels and tire pressures, and prepare an emergency kit with water, blankets and food.
4 UNI Tallgrass Prairie Center to host Research and Management Seminar. Seminar to discuss the basics of monarch biology and their migration, as well as the conservation challenges that face monarchs.
5 UNI to celebrate Women's History Month. Series of events scheduled in honor of Women's History Month.
6 UNI to host U. S. citizenship ceremony. More than fifty people will become American citizens during a ceremony on the UNI campus. The citizenship oath ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. on March 4, in the Maucker Union Ballroom.
