1 African-American film director to speak at UNI. Julie Dash will speak about her film work as part of the Hearst Lecture Series.
2 Register now for UNI workshop focused on skills for first-time managers. The workshop will introduce the management skills and tools needed to put a new leader on the right path.
3 UNI College of Business Administration announces 2011 Alumni in Residence. Each year, departments with in the College of Business Administration and MBA program selects and alumnus or alumna to serve as its Alumni in Residence and bring his or her experience "back home" to connect theory to practice for students.
4 UNI to offer waste reduction graduate-credit workshops. The workshop is entitled, "Waste Reduction: Addressing the Overlooked 'R," it will be held near Dubuque as a two part course in June and November.
5 UNI's Pi Sigma Epsilon and University Mills to offer 5K run/walk. There will be a raffle and a short awards ceremony following the race. Prizes will be awarded to the top overall male and female winners. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross Hawkeye Chapter.
