1 'Bones!' is theme of this year's Camp Musicmania UNI's Community Music School is offering Camp Musicmania this summer for students grades K through 9. This will help students to explore music, drama, and art.
2 Former Iowa Attorney General Bonnie J. Campbell to speak on Violence Against Women Act Bonnie Campbell will be speaking at UNI discussing the Violence Against Women Act. As Iowa Attorney General she was a national leader in the reform of the criminal justice system.
3 Improving literacy in elementary education The first annual Jacobson Center and Reading Recovery Literacy Academy will be held at UNI. This event will feature keynote speaker, Richard Elmore. The 45th annual Elementary Literacy Conference will also take place at UNI featuring Steven Kellogg.
4 Increasing awareness and education of sexual assault To celebrate Sexual Assault Awareness Month UNI will host several events including seminars on violence prevention and sexual assault awareness.
5 Jessica Valenti lecture rescheduled to April 17 Feminist author, Jessica Valenti, will be speaking at UNI in honor of Women's History Month.
6 Roberto Matus to speak at UNI As part of the Office of International Programs' Diplomat Series Roberto Matus will be speaking at UNI. Roberto Matus is the Deputy Chief of mission of the Embassy of Chile. He will be discussing the economic development of Chile.
7 UNI International Dance Theatre presents 'Traditions' UNI's International Dance Theatre will present its annual spring concert. This year's production is "Traditions", and will feature many different dance styles from all over the world.
