1 Award-winning chemistry professor and researcher to speak at UNI Paul Kelter will be speaking at the Leland Wilson Endowed Chemistry Lecture. He will be speaking about effective ways to teach Science in today's society.
2 Scott Ketelsen named director of UNI's Office of University Relations Scott Ketelsen has recently been named the director of University Relations. As an alumnus, he is very excited to be back at UNI. Ketelsen has had a lot of experience working at both Kirkwood Community College and the University of Iowa.
3 U.S. News & World Report ranks UNI No. 2 public regional university in the Midwest UNI was ranked as second in the "Best Regional Universities (Midwest)" category for public universities. UNI was also ranked 13th on a list of combined public and private universities list. This is an improvement from being ranked 22nd last year.
4 UNI Financial Literacy Club discusses tools for fiscal success at event on Sept. 16 The Financial Literacy Club will be having their first meeting in the Maucker Union Ballroom. There will be pizza and drinks provided as well as a cash prize give away. The club hopes to enhance financial literacy for students.
5 UNI School of Music to host 32nd Annual Scholarship Benefit Concert The theme of the 32nd Annual Scholarship Benefit Concert is "An Enchanted Evening!". This concert will have many alumni and staff performing at it. The funds raised go towards scholarships for exceptionally talented music students.
6 University of Northern Iowa designated as military friendly school for fourth year UNI has been named a Military Friendly School for the fifth time. This places UNI in the top 20 percent of schools doing the most to embrace America's veterans as students.
