LaDene Bowen, UNI's associate director of the Institute for Decision Making was awarded for her work in the field on economic development by the International Economic Development Council. Bowen has also worked to encourage females in business.

Foreign exchange students tend to think highly of UNI. Many students feel very welcome on campus, but wish their were more activities to bridge the gap between international students and locals; photo.
7 Maucker Union holds long, rich history

The Maucker Union has an interesting history and has undergone many changes throughout the years. At one point students were able to purchase beer in Maucker Union. There also used to be a Hardee's restaurant that employed many students on campus.
8 Staude ready to enjoy senior season at UNI

Kristin Staude is excited about UNI's swimming and diving season. The women's team is hoping to work together to build up the program and gain recognition under head coach Doug Humphrey.

UNI's soccer team ends their season with a win against Grand View University. Allie Brees was given the team's senior honorary award for leadership. The Panthers finished with a record of 4-15. They hope to improve next season; photo.

UNI men's basketball defeated Bemidji State University 71-48 in an exhibition matchup. Seth Tuttle had the team-high in points, rebounds, and assists. UNI will take on the University of Dubuque in another exhibition game; photo.
11 UNI takes third in Boonville

UNI women's golf ended their season by placing third at the Charles Braun Intercollegiate. Sarah Boss lead the team and tied for first in individual play with a score of 144. The Panthers will return to action in March for the spring season.
