1 UNI film screening to explore cancer prevention UNI will be showing the film "Living Downstream" and hosting a discussion about links between the environment and cancer. It will include a lot of information on environmental contamination and how to work towards a healthier environment.
2 UNI professor looks to find a solution for degraded water UNI professor Mohammad Iqbal has begun a project to examine the Cedar River watershed. There is a lot of water pollution due to agricultural practices. Iqbal hopes to educate people about ways to fix the problem.
3 UNI to host filmmaker and co-founder of FoodCorps Curt Ellis, award-winning documentary filmmaker, will be speaking at UNI about his nonprofit to help prevent childhood obesity. There will be a showing of his film "King Korn" with a discussion to follow.
