1 Ralph E. Reynolds named Jacobson Endowed Chair of Literacy at UNI College of Education Ralph E. Reynolds has joined the College of Education as the Richard O. Jacobson Endowed Chair of Literacy. His responsibilities at UNI will include conducting research and stimulating research among faculty and graduate students in the COE.
2 UNI student government to sponsor Voterpalooza on Oct. 1 Northern Iowa Student Government (NISG), in partnership with Northern Iowa Democrats and UNI College Republicans, will sponsor Voterpoolza, October 1 at the Campanile on the UNI campus. Voter registration will be available and is encouraged.
3 UNI's College of Education to host town meeting in Council Bluffs UNI College of Education will host several town meetings across the state to discuss education in Iowa. The next meeting will be in Council Bluffs, October 9, at the Educational Service Center.
4 University of Northern Iowa designated as military friendly school for fifth year UNI has been selected by G.I. Jobs Magazine as a Military Friendly School for 2015. Criteria for making the Military Friendly Schools list include recruitment and retention of military and veteran students and academic accreditations.
