1 Branstad appoints UNI student to Board of Regents Rachel Johnson, UNI freshman education major, has been appointed to the Board of Regents. As a student member of the Board of Regents, she will be the voice of all students who attend Regent institutions. She will begin her term on May 1.
2 Digital photo archive of Iowa's history launches at UNI At the Rod Library, a public digital photo archive of Iowa's history will be introduced on March 25. This digital archive, called FORTEPAN Iowa, is the first of its kind in Iowa and the U.S. The FORTEPAN interface conveys history chronologically.
3 Physics Competition to take place in the UNI McLeod Center March 26 The competition is a series of five competitive physics events for high school students in grades nine through 12. Regional winners and runners-up will advance to the State of Iowa Physics Competition hosted by UNI Department of Physics April 16.
4 Sean Lewis comes to UNI to perform 'Dogs of Rwanda' Sean Lewis will be at UNI on March 26, in Lang Hall, Room 40 to perform 'Dogs of Rwanda'. Lewis is a playwright, solo performer, director, and actor and has won numerous awards in recent years.
5 UNI's Center for Energy and Environmental Education hosts open house to display new solar array The open house will be on March 29, at 8106 Jennings Dr. The open house will include tours of the solar array and how to install your own solar system.
6 UNI's Gallagher Bluedorn hosts 'Whose Line is it Anyway?' stars Collin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood from "Whose Line is it Anyway?" will be at Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center April 10. Ticket prices for this event range from $25 to $40. This event is part of the GBPAC's 2014-15 Artist Series.
