UNI has had an increase in their insurance costs when revisions were made to the Iowa Public Employment Relations Act. The insurance increase could be as much as $3500 per family. The revision has also limited what employees are able to negotiate.

UNI's Women's swimming and diving team defeat Vermillion South Dakota, 178-122, followed by a win against Nebraska-Omaha, 189-111. They went on to place 4th out of 6 at the Kansas Classic.
10 IOC bans Russia from 2018 Winter Games
Pady--Dylan (Student--2015)
Russia is not allowed to compete in the 2018 Winter Games. The decision from the International Olympic Committee comes after a three year investigation into a state-sponsored doping system. Athletes will be allowed to compete under neutral colors.
