6 Yemen, praxis and global responsibility

In the author's opinion, the war and genocide in Yemen is being exacerbated by the United States government, which should end its involvement with Saudi Arabia and in Yemen. Rawwas supports the efforts of representative Ro Khanna and Bernie Sanders and calls out President Trump and the recent 9/11 memorial event on campus that included a helicopter landing, saying they draw attention away from ongoing civilian causalities; photo.

7 PMB to present 'The Best of Earth Wind & Fire'

On September 21, 2019, the Panther Marching Band (PMB) will perform an Earth, Wind, & Fire halftime show in the UNI Dome during the football game against Idaho State. With 315 members, PMB is the largest student organization at UNI with 79 different majors represented, one-third non-music majors. The show will be performed in collaboration with BYOBrass, a UNI based band founded in 2017; photo.
8 Tallgrass Prairie renamed to 'Daryl Smith Prairie'

During the "Prairie Rendezvous" event to celebrate the retirement of Dr. Daryl Smith, the Tallgrass Prairie was renamed after him. Many speakers spoke at the Rendezvous, including President Mark Nook. The prairie was also one of the first reconstructed prairies in Iowa; photos.

11 McElvain's journey from walk-on to starting QB
