1 Keep the light on for Banned Books Week
Legaspi--Sofia (Class of 2020) 		Banned Books Week has returned to UNI, celebrated by Rod Library and the College of Education with multiple displays around campus. The American Library Association (ALA) maintains a list of banned books, which are books challenged by individuals or groups who want them removed from public and school libraries. Youth services librarian Katelyn Browne discusses reasons why books are banned and encourages students and future teachers to read widely; photos.
2 UNI-Dome hosts Bands of America
Weber--Colby (Class of 2020), Leitner--Gabrielle (Class of 2020) 		UNI will host a Bands of America competition. Marching bands from all over the Midwest will be arriving to compete in a variety of events. McGuill--Lauren (Student--2019) 		Author Jo Knowles visited UNI and held a discussion about how she writes her books, the process of getting it to the editors, and handling rejection. Knowles also talked about a seven-week residency program that she and other faculty from all over the country host. 4 Student Health Clinic: birth control, flu shots
Kelsey--Elizabeth (Class of 2021) 		The UNI Student Health Clinic (SHC) had no policy changes birth control and birth control education and will continue distribution. Flu shot clinics will also be held in the coming weeks. These walk-in clinics can be covered by health insurance companies or will be a $30 fee.

9 Panthers finish 2-1 in Milwaukee tourney
Hansen--Patrick (Class of 2024) 		The UNI volleyball team traveled to Milwaukee to compete at the Marquette Invitational, finishing 2-1. They lost to the Marquette Golden Eagles but won against St. Louis and Wisconsin-Green Bay. This tourney also moved Karlie Taylor up to sixth place in all-time kills in UNI history and Rachel Koop moved to the 10th place in assists to achieve 2,000 assists; photos.
