Northern Iowa Student Government has teamed up with Active Minds, Black Student Union, To Write Love on Her Arms and UNI Counseling Services to help coordinate this event. Sarah Rassing, a graduate student and NISG Director of Mental Health helped coordinate the events to hopefully make this annual. Brian Nissen emphasizes the importance of students to the university, as well as Jennifer Schneiderman, director of counseling services at UNI helps students know the help campus provides. Christopher's Very Happy Band (CVH.B) preformed in Russell Hall's Bengtson Auditorium on January 24. The concert featured jazz compositions from their second album. 7 Film informs on trauma-informed care

The UNI men's basketball team fell in a two point game, 68-66, against the Salukis of Southern Illinois in Carbondale. Panthers are now 5-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Northern Iowa women's tennis team kicked off their 2020 season with a loss in their dual match against the university of Nebraska-Omaha in Des Moines. Panthers dropped their season-opening match.
