2 UNI cancels international travel, COVID-19
Kelsey--Elizabeth (Class of 2021) 		Due to COVID-19, UNI has cancelled all university-sponsored international travel. The university first cancelled travel for the next 30 days, then for all summer 2020 study abroad courses. UNI implemented travel restrictions in stages, beginning in January with a temporary moratorium on travel to China, extending it to South Korea on February 29, Italy on March 2, and Iran on March 3. Students in UNI Camp Adventure were recalled or transferred from affected areas. On March 5, the Board of Regents issued a statement for all three public universities cancelling university-sponsored travel for all faculty, staff, and students for the next 30 days, which included spring break. UNI absorbed the cost of cancelled study abroad programs. Although the threat of the virus remained low for Iowa and campus, the university began preparations for the unlikely event of a campus shutdown with information posted on prepare.uni.edu. 6 Commence towards graduation this Wednesday
Qualley--Sarah (Student--2021) 		UNI students graduating were invited to attend the Graduation Fair in Maucker Union Ballroom. The event was to provide graduating students with the resources they needed prior to graduation. The Graduation Fair will take place on March 11 in the Maucker Union ballrooms. The Office of the Registrar, Career Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, bookstore, Flash Photography, and Alumni Association will be present offering services.

7 Local Food and Film Festival held at Hearst Center

9 Panthers finish third in Big 12 Championships
Schindler--Nicholas (Student--2020) 		The men's wrestling team competed in the Big 12 Conference Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and finished third overall behind Oklahoma State and Iowa State. Individual wrestlers who performed well in their classes included Taylor Lujan, second overall; Bryce Steirt, second overall; Max Thomsen, sixth overall; Michael Blockhus, sixth overall; and Jay Schwarm, fourth overall. Schwarm, Steiert, Lujan, Thomsen, and Blockhus will advance to the NCAA championship; photos.
10 UNI defeats Drake, looks ahead to MVC tourney
Kiewiet--Brielle (Student--2019), Fortmann--Toni (Class of 2022) 		The UNI women's basketball team defeated Drake University, 91-78, in the McLeod Center on March 6 during their last game of the regular season. It was also senior night, and UNI honored Rose Simon-Ressler, Heidi Hillyard, Abby Gerrits, and Kristina Cavey. The team is now 10-8 in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). This is the first time in school history UNI has defeated Iowa, Iowa State, and Drake in the same season; photo.
11 UNI drops four of five in Northern Colorado tournament
Hansen--Patrick (Class of 2024), Fortmann--Toni (Class of 2022) 		UNI softball competed in five games in Greely, Colorado. On day one, they lost their first game to Nebraska-Omaha, and their second game to Utah Valley, 9-0. On day two, they lost their first game to Northern Colorado, 4-2, Nebraska-Omaha 3-1, and won their final game against Utah Valley 4-1. They are now 7-14 overall on the season; photo.
