The "Our Stories: Women in Afghanistan" panel, organized largely by the UNI Women's and Gender Studies program, took place on October 27th in Lang Hall Auditorium. Five women traveled from various parts of the U.S. to share their stories and insight on the women's rights issues in Afghanistan. 2 Seerley Boulevard's iconic flowering trees replanted after 60 years

Kate Murphy gives a report on the replanting of the iconic crabapple trees that have been lining Seerley Boulevard since the 1960s. Supervisor of the Cedar Falls Public Works and Parks Brett Morris explains that the crabapple trees were at the end of their life span and a lot of them had dead branches that didn't bloom anymore. The UNI football team won their away game against Southern Illinois University, 37-36. Drew Hill gives an in-depth report on the game; photo.
6 UNI competes at MVC Championship
Shea--Caden (Student--2022)
Both the men's and women's UNI cross country teams competed at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Indiana. The women's team placed seventh out of 12 teams with a score of 165 points and the men placed ninth out of 11 teams with a total of 251 points.
