Choice of child day care provider depends on needs of parents and child, says coordinator of University of Northern Iowa day care center.

Providers licensed by the state must comply with standards in such areas as saily lesson plans, meal menus, daily activity schedule, health and safety standards and maximum staff-child ratio.
