Vicki Trent-Wilson has become an advocate of the Iowa Bone Marrow Program, a registry of potential marrow donors. A marrow type match occurs only once in 20,000 to 100,000 match attempts, the Iowa Bone Marrow Registry contains only 1,877 volunteer donors.
