5	UNI professor develops guidelines for teaching religion	Betty DeBerg, as a member of the American Academy of Religion, aided in supplying resources to educators, teachers, and parents to help improve the manner in which religion is taught in the schools; photo.
5	Office Hours	Kay Weller, geography professor, has traveled to over forty countries. She writes grants allowing teachers to travel to foreign countries. A native of Kansas City, Weller loves to drive fast cars, but not so fast any more; photo.
6	UNI students to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month	A music festival September 16 will highlight the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month; photo.
6	Blood Drive opportunities in the Cedar Valley	The need of blood is constant. September blood drive locations and times noted.
7	UNI Student Leadership Center develops leadership skills	Maucker Union sponsors a group to provide students with leadership opportunities. On Volunteer Tuesdays, the group provides transportation to four area service agencies. A rope course event is planned later in September.
7	"Object as Subject" premieres at University Museum	New art exhibit shows the diversity of art and expression and human culture.
7b	Internships can provide guidance	Internships are beneficial to both employee and employer. The employee learns about the business and can decide if this is truly what he/she wants. The employer can judge the skills of the intern and determine if a full time job is warranted.
8	Congratulations	Department of Residence recognizes students who earned academic distinction by qualifying for the Dean's list Spring 2010. Students listed.

13	Panther volleyball wins Kansas Invitational	Volleyball team defeats Arkansas-Little Rock, Kansas, and Winthrop in the Kansas Invitational tournament after losing to eleventh ranked Iowa State 3-0.
14	UNI soccer falls to Green Bay, 4-0	Women's soccer team held Green Bay scoreless until the forty fourth minute. A goal just prior to halftime, followed by a goal early in the second half, and two goals in the last thirty minutes sealed the loss.
