1 Oversold parking passes cause problems for students, staff There are 8300 parking spots on campus with over 16,000 students, staff, and visitors. Parking passes allow the owner to park in designated areas. The beginning of each new year brings some confusion.
2 UNI ranks in U. S. News and World Report's 'America's Best Colleges' The rankings are based on peer assessment, academic reputation, retention, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, graduation rate, and alumni giving. UNI ranks sixteenth in the private and public schools in the Midwest.
3 UNI offers new class to help freshmen transition Cornerstone is a new course aimed at communication, learning, and civility. Credits will be earned in the liberal arts core. Each section has a student mentor and a reference librarian assigned to it.
