2/1/1967 The annual Alumni-Faculty Spring Reunion will be held May 27 and 28. The honor classes of 1907, 1917, 1927, and 1942 will soon receive invitations. Tentative plans have been made for class dinners for the classes of 1917, 1927, and 1942 on May 27. The joint Alumni-Faculty Reunion Luncheon will be held on May 28. Recipients of the Alumni Service Awards will be recognized at the luncheon along with the honor classes.

6/1/1960 Phi Mu Alpha, the musical fraternity for men, hosted the Convention for Province No. 6 of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Alongside them, the Music Department also sponsored Sigma Alpha Iota, the musical sorority for women, and hosted the Musical Educators National Conference. Both organizations helped gather $1,000,000 for the new music building.

6/1/1960 The TC Relays were held in the spring. Eleven colleges and thirty-seven high schools sent athletes to compete. Five records were broken, four high school and one college. The Iowa Teachers broke the standing two mile record that was previously set by this college. Sharon Wykle was crowned queen of the event by Dr. Daryl Pendergradt. Her court consisted of Naomi Harold, Kay Klienheksel, and Jean Wilson.

Black Student Union (BSU) members and non-members danced and sang to celebrate the kickoff event of the first of 13 BSU-sponsored events to be held in honor of Black History Month his year. These free, open-to-the-public activities include talks and seminars, art and poetry, open mics, a skate party, a royalty competition and more.

81969 Delta Sigma Rho Arranges Interesting Debates
Northern Iowan :, p.
Delta Sigma Rho is the United States' oldest national honorary organization for students interested in debate, oratory, discussion, and other forensic activities. It was funded in 1906 and came to the Iowa State Teachers College in 1913. The group takes charge of arrangements for debates between universities. In the past they have hosted debate teams from England, Sweden, and Scotland.
