Henry Van Engen has accepted an appointment as visiting professor at Teachers college, Columbia University, New York for the 1952 summer session.

Van Engen will teach courses in the history of arithmetic for elementary and secondary teachers and methods in algebra. Following the session at Columbia, he will participate in a two-day symposium on "Meanings in Mathematics" at Phillips Exeter Academy.
