"Latch-key kids" can develop into self reliant adults, says University of Northern Iowa professor.

Ann Vernon says kids should be comfortable about staying home alone, and if not arrangements for care should be made. She says recent studies show latch-key kids aren't as maladjusted as people once though they would be.
