Harnessing wind energy -- viable alternative for Iowa? University of Northern Iowa research project explores electricity-producing wind turbines.

The UNI industrial technology departments will work with two wind turbines this year to gather data about wind patterns and energy output using a computer program. Both turbines were donated to the University.
