1 First advanced storm spotter training to be held April 23 UNI Department of Earth Science will host an advanced storm spotter training course April 23, in Latham Hall, Room 125. This is the first year this training is being brought to northeast Iowa. All trainings are free and open to the public.
1 UNI's Elementary Literacy Conference to be held April 17 The 47th annual Elementary Literacy Conference will be on April 17, in the Schindler Education Center. There will be a pre-conference event at the Grout Museum/Bluedorn Science Imaginarium in Waterloo April 16. The conference is free for UNI students.
1 UNI to induct students into Teacher Education Program UNI College of Education will host its biannual Teacher Education Induction Convocation, March 30, in the Great Hall of the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center. A reception will follow in the lobby afterwards.
1 Gallagher Bluedorn to present keyboardist Bruce Hornsby Bruce Hornsby will be in the Great Hall of Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center on April 24. Ticket prices range from $46 to $66 and include a copy of Hornsby's latest CD. This event is part of the 2014-15 Artist Series.
1 Veterans find success in UNI's business school UNI College of Business Administration has been selected for the Military Times Best for Vets: Business Schools 2015 rankings. UNIBusiness ranked number 61 among the organization's top 75 business schools for America's veterans.
1 Data mining and business analytics lecture at UNI Johannes Ledolter, professor in the Department of Management Sciences at the University of Iowa, will visit UNI to present the annual Hari Shankar Memorial Lecture, April 7, in Lantz Auditorium, McCollum Science Hall, Room 137.
