Darin Adams is training a black lab to be a therapy dog. He is doing this through the program Retrieving Freedom which provides service dogs to disabled veterans and autistic children. The organization is working with UNI to get more students involved.

Meeting involved breakout sessions led my two veteran members of the group. Labeling was the main theme of the discussion. Those in attendance shared how they had lost friends and even family when they announced their sexual preferences.
9 UNI creating new veteran and military student service office
