6 UNI competes in Doc Halverson

The softball season began with UNI hosting the UNI-Dome Class February 8-10, which will be renamed the Doc Halverson Classic after the longtime supporter. Participants included Drake, Saint Louis University, Southeast Missouri State University, South Dakota State University, and the University of Toledo. Their record included: loss to Southeast Missouri State, 5-1; win against Toledo, 5-0; win against St. Louis, 9-4; loss to Southeast Missouri, 16-0, and win against South Dakota, 14-2; photo.
