4 DOR preps for recontracting, updates

Department of Residence (DOR) has announced a number of changes and enhancements to campus living effective beginning in the fall 2020 semester. One adjustment students may have already noticed is that the recontracting process processed has been moved from November to February. By waiting until spring to start the recontracting process, it allow new students time in the fall to get adjusted to college and focus on their academics and get a better feel for where they might want to live the following year. The DOR will be adding a "mixed community" option combining first-year and upper-class students. Another notable update is the reopening of Dancer Hall.
5 Late meals and weekend hours return

Rialto dining center is once again offering late breakfast and lunch hours after eliminating late breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the beginning of the fall 2019 semester. In addition to the reinstated hours at Rialto, the UNI Dining Services reveled that they would open Piazza and Rialto all weekend long at the start of the spring 2020 semester this January; photo.
