9/16/2019 During the "Prairie Rendezvous" event to celebrate the retirement of Dr. Daryl Smith, the Tallgrass Prairie was renamed after him. Many speakers spoke at the Rendezvous, including President Mark Nook. The prairie was also one of the first reconstructed prairies in Iowa; photos.
