9/5/2019 Changes made by the DOR include closing Dancer Hall and the first floor of Campbell Hall as well as changing the hours of Rialto Dining Center and Piazza Dining Center for the academic school year. These changes were made to conserve resources to make future improvements to the housing and dining programs.

3 Dorms experience Labor Day weekend flooding

9/10/2018 Several of the on-campus dorms experienced flooding over labor day. Campbell hall was the only one where student rooms were affected.

11/30/2017 The Department of Residence (DOR) is making changes in the residence halls across campus. Second year students will now be allowed to live in Panther Village. Students can also opt-into all-gendered housing, allowing students to live with anyone regardless of gender; photo.
6 Lawther opens, while some halls remain empty

8/31/2017 Lawther Hall has reopened after being closed for construction. The opening of this building has led to a surplus of empty rooms on campus. UNI has taken steps to help offset this surplus to encourage students to come back on campus: photo.
7 Proposed housing changes and rates released for 2014-2015

1/30/2014 UNI is reducing their summer room and board rates for 2014-2015 to encourage more students to remain in Cedar Falls over the summer. Regular and board will increase by about 2.9 percent. Dining Rates are also expected to increase about 2 percent; photo.
8 Redeker Center reopened

10/11/2013 The official grand reopening of the University of Northern Iowa's Redeker Cent and the Panther Village Phase II dedication was held inside the Piazza Dining Center on Wednesday, October 9.
