10/24/2019 | The UNI Women's Chorus and UNI Varsity Glee Club performed a Spotlight Series concert at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center (GBPAC). Both sections sang a wide variety of songs with both groups doing a piece in Spanish in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. At the end of the performance, John Wiles, director of the Glee Club, stood up and invited audience members to join either group; photo. | |

9/19/2019 | UNI and Cedar Vally community members crowded into the Great Hall of the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center (GBPAC) on September 16 to hear Nikole Hannah-Jones deliver the UNI 2019 Constitution Day Address. Hannah-Jones told the audience she would "be going a bit rogue" and would not be speaking on school segregation, but instead on the 1619 project. After the lecture, there was a 20-minute question-and answer-session with Hannah-Jones.; photo. |
