4/8/2021 The UNI Panther volleyball team took the court in the Missouri Valley Conference against Drake and Loyola-Chicago. UNI beat Drake on Thursday, winning by scores of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-20. On Friday, UNI fell to Loyola-Chicago 3-1 by scores of 17-25, 25-17, 24-26. The Panther's season will end as they did not receive an at-large big for the NCAA tournament.

The decision for compensation by the Untied States Supreme Court will most likely take years but the author believes there will be a positive change soon.

2/3/2020 The Panthers traveled to Iowa City for the Black & Gold Track and Field Invitational. Northern Iowa took the top-five spots in the shot-put along with three top-three finishes across the board. On the relay side, the UNI women took home fourth place and now sit at third in the conference. The men's team placed second, and now top in the conference.

The Valley has earned its reputation to be taken seriously come March Madness. All year, Northern Iowa has proven themselves to be the cream of the crop in the Valley. While many around the league agree that the Panthers are one the top teams in the Valley this season, the scheduling in the conference is one of the most grueling in the nation.
