The women's and men's track and field teams traveled to Lincoln, Nebraska to compete in the 2022 Husker Invite. The teams did well, picking up many top five finishes.
4 Panthers complete day one of MVC tourney

Day one of the indoor track and field Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) was held in the UNI-Dome. On the men's team, six advanced to the finals in five different events: 60 meter dash - Isaiah Trousil, Tayshaun Cooper, Eli Hicks; 60 meter hurdles - Jak Sumners; 200 meter dash - Isaiah Trousil, Tayshaun Cooper, Eli Hicks; 800 meter dash - Wal Khat; mile - CJ May. On the women's team, six advanced in three events: 60 meter hurdles - Hannah Schau, Megan Hudson; 200 meter dash - Taylor Raines, Tyler Gray; 800 meter - Dianna Slight, Katie Nimrod. Six additional athletes received all-conference honors: Chase Van Sant, Jack Sumners, Kyler Yodts, Darius King, Isabelle Holtzen, and Cam Bauer. 5 Heims breaks world record in discus

Paralympic medalist and UNI sophomore Jessica Heims broke the world discus throwing record for lower limb prosthetic at the Musco Twilight Meet in Iowa City. Heims also broke the world record for the 100-meter dah under the same F64 classification. 6 UNI hosts MVC track, places second and fourth

The UNI-Dome hosted the Missouri Valley Conference track and field championship February 23-24. The men's team finished second overall and the women's team finished fourth. Individual competitors with wins included Brooke Lorenz, Lyndsie Schinkel, Jolissa Kriegel, Katie Nimrod, Alyssa Williams, Isaac Holtz, Cade Kirkpatrick, Maddie McCalla, Patrice Watson, Maria Gonzalez, Sven Van Den Bergh, Tayshaun Cooper, Bryce Newcomb, Connor Blough, Connor Ham, Evan Long, and Keegan Tritle. 7 UNI competes at Wisconsin, Tritle breaks record

A few select UNI track and field athletes went to Madison, Wisconsin to compete in the Red and White Classic. Keegan Tritle broke a school record in the shot put event and improved his personal best with 62-7 1/4. Katie Nimrod, Ryan Van Baale, Wal Khat, Cam Bauer, and CJ May all placed first in events, and Rylan Santi, Allana Neitert, Dan Blocker, and Cam Bauer had second-place finishes.
