3/31/2022 Sophomore Paul Noble broke the previous record for the fastest time running across Iowa. Starting in Muscatine and finishing in Council Bluffs, he ran 279.85 miles in 3 days, 22 hours, and 50 minutes. The run was considered an ultramarathon; photos.

4/15/2021 UNI released the 2021-2022 academic calendar which includes the return on the week-long Thanksgiving break, Spring break, and in-person commencement ceremonies, as well as a mixture of in-person, online, and hybrid class formats. The winter term sessions implemented last year will continue due to its success to help students stay-on-track for graduation.
