12/12/2019 Finals approach UNI and the Student Wellness Services hosted their bi-annual De-Stress Days at Maucker Union. Students have the opportunity to color, do puzzles, write positive notes, etc. At the Rod Library, students have the opportunity to gather at the Learning Commons and meet P.E.T. P.A.L.S. P.E.T. P.A.L.S. is a service that trains emotional support and service animals. They will be bringing service animals trained specifically to relieve stress to Rod Library so that students can interact with them; photo.

This year there will be emotional support animals, coloring, crafts, puzzles, hot chocolate or tea, and much more at the Maucker Union Ballroom. 10/7/2019 The UNI Counseling Center has changed its scheduling policy for the 2019-2020 school year. Counseling sessions, which had previously been unlimited for students under the mandatory student health fee, are now limited to five per year. Any additional sessions must now be billed to the student's health insurance. The reason for the change is partially based on declining enrollment.

4/22/2019 On April 29-May 1the Student Health Advisory Committee hosted De-Stress Days. The Advisory Committee provided activities such as massages and crafts and also special treats like panther punch, tea, and dogs to hang out with!

1/28/2019 Article announces the Student Wellness Services are offering "Wellness Wednesday" and "Take Time Thursday" in the Makerspace at the Rod Library. These wellness days attempt to provide a safe place for students to go to decompress and de-stress. Wellness Coaching focuses on the eight dimensions wellness model (Intellectual, emotional, spiritual, environmental, social, and physical.) A test is provided before the coaching begins that assess the individuals strengths in these areas. 12/6/2018 Student Wellness Services and the Student Health Advisory Board held "De-stress Days" Dec. 3-5 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Maucker Ballroom. The activities offered included: Coloring, gratitude cards, a meditation labyrinth, companion puppies, hot drinks, and puzzles. All of the activities were intended to alleviate stress.
