After day two of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) tournament, the women's team finished fifth overall and the men's team won - the first time in eleven years. On the men's team, podium finishers included Darius King, Isaiah Trousil, Tayshaun Cooper, Seb Gearhart, Dan Blocker, Wal Khat, Cam Bauer, Kyler Yodts, Thomas Yezek, Chase Van Sant, Jack Sumners, Thai Thompson, Cameron Cantrall. 11 Panthers complete day one of MVC tourney

Day one of the indoor track and field Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) was held in the UNI-Dome. On the men's team, six advanced to the finals in five different events: 60 meter dash - Isaiah Trousil, Tayshaun Cooper, Eli Hicks; 60 meter hurdles - Jak Sumners; 200 meter dash - Isaiah Trousil, Tayshaun Cooper, Eli Hicks; 800 meter dash - Wal Khat; mile - CJ May. On the women's team, six advanced in three events: 60 meter hurdles - Hannah Schau, Megan Hudson; 200 meter dash - Taylor Raines, Tyler Gray; 800 meter - Dianna Slight, Katie Nimrod. Six additional athletes received all-conference honors: Chase Van Sant, Jack Sumners, Kyler Yodts, Darius King, Isabelle Holtzen, and Cam Bauer. 12 UNI competes in Iowa's Black & Gold Invitational

UNI took the top five spots in shot-put and three top-three finishes across the board. Darius King won shot-put, followed by Keegan Tritle, Tom Yezek, Kyler Yodts, and William Blaser. Alanna Nietert set a career-best, placing her third in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) and 58th in the NCAA. Isaiah Trousil came second in the 200-meter dash, first place in the MVC and 39th overall in the NCAA. C.J. May scored a career best and third overall in the MVC. In relays, the women's team is third in the conference and the men's is first.
