NISG debate: Elle, Rachel talk platform

Article Summary
The traditional Northern Iowa Student Government (NISG) debate was not so much a debate, as the only two running for positions were Elle Boeding and Rachel Green for Student Body and Vice President. Both are asked questions by moderator Bekah Bass on what they plan to do for all students and professors on campus. Boeding brings up guidance lists for pronouns, stating that everyone should feel comfortable by using their preferred name and pronouns. Green wants to consult the Racial and Ethnic Coalition (REC) throughout the academic year to make sure she is setting a strong example as a POC. stating "As a black woman, there are very little representation of me anywhere on this campus let alone NISG, we want to make sure that we do everyone proud.: Both vow to ensure that they are actually listening to students and their experiences on campus; photo.
