There is an assumption that the new LGBT Center is an extension of UNI Proud. However, the LGBT Center and UNI Proud are separate entities. The LGBT Center is a university resource with the backing of Dean of Students' office. UNI Proud is not.

UNI created a new app to help people with speech disorders. The app is called "Name That!" and it is designed to show the patient a picture of an item and ask various questions to build meaning-based relationships. The app is now available for purchase.

72 UNI professor overcomes breast cancer and looks to the future

Professor Gowrie Gulwadi was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. Her chemotherapy ended in March, and her last few surgeries took place in June. She is now breast cancer free.
