1 Special to: Cedar Falls Daily Record Margaret Howe, Barbara Wickersham, and Harriet Smith, all of Cedar Falls, were formally activated into Phi Sigma Phi, local social sorority at the college along with Wilma Whitten, Rowan, and Marilyn Zickefoose, Maquoketa, and Jackie Muth, Waterloo.
2 Special to: Cedar Falls Daily Record Two Cedar Falls students at the college were listed on the 1952 Old Gold advertising staff as announced by Daryl Carter, advertising manager of the yearbook. Joan Arthur will be layout manager and Eldon McCann was included among the advertising salesmen.

11 Three staff members will serve as conference leaders during the Audubon-Guthrie Counties Career Day program, October 22 The program is designed for high school seniors to acquaint themselves with aspects of various occupations. Raymond Schlicher, Irvin Brune, and Julia Sparrow will speak on different grades and subjects in teaching as a career.
