U.S. west foundation announces $170,400 gift to University of Northern Iowa foundations for minorities in teaching program.

Minorities in Teaching program is a long term plan which had been developed in response to current and future demographic trends. Currently only one percent of teacher's in Iowa are from a minority group, compared to over five times that many students.
